Nurgle is the oldest, khorne is the physically strongest, Tzeentch is the smartest and literally sabotages himself to keep stuff interesting and slaanesh is the youngest and weakest but has the greatest potential because the more civilization progresses the more slaanesh progresses, for example when a new drug with a cool effect is invented
Honorable I'll give you but I dunno about honest. I wouldn't exactly call any of the Chaos gods honest but I'd argue Nurgle is at least on par with Khorne, if not more so. Khorne promises a lot of things for his followers that they don't necessarily get, like glory or conquest, but that he still does. Nurgle pretty much tells you upfront that he'll give you eternal life, but it's gonna come
There is a strong tradition of birds in mythology representing portents and omens. Since Tzeentch is all about divining the future, the bird motif seems apropos. [deleted] • 7 yr. ago. This may be way off but I know in Viking mythology Odin had two ravens that acted as his eyes and ears in the world.
It's mostly because Tzeentch and Nurgle HATE each other, and will often find any excuse to fight. Nurgle stealing some marines from Tzeentch is probably something they'd do. Also agree, right base is best. This is a crime and should be treated as a crime.🤣 but seriously, right base looks good.
Though Khorne is the only Chaos God with an open and intense dislike of Slaanesh, both Nurgle and Tzeencch are uneasy in his presence. This is due, in part, to the fact that in some ways all the major Chaos Gods embody Slaanesh's drive for excess: Kbornc with his rage, Tzeentch with his schemes and deceptions and Nurgle with his love of pestilence.

From the earliest realm of chaos lore, Tzeentch is about hope and change and nurgle about despair/resignation and entropy/stasis. Oddly the despair into acceptance means they're often quite cheerful. But not in a dreaming big dreams way like Tzeentch, just enjoying the ride day by day.
The four main Gods of Chaos are Khorne, the blood god who delights in primal violence, Tzeentch, the lord of change who relies on sorceries and knowledge to further ambitions, Nurgle, the plague
Skarbrand, the Rage Feaster, eager for battle. Alas, no being, even an immortal Daemon, could enjoy such triumphs forever, and so proud was Skarbrand that it was a simple task for Tzeentch to fan the embers of his hubris. One dark day, when Khorne's back was turned and his attention elsewhere, Skarbrand's fierce pride grew hot and, blinded by rage, he smote the Blood God a mighty blow.
The four Chaos Gods are Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, and Slaanesh. Each of the gods takes some portion of their power and characteristics from specific emotions and actions reflected in the living world. The Chaos Gods do not act together as a single group, and often hate and fight each other. Once you reach a certain point in the campaign, around turn 35-ish, Chaos Rifts open across the map, giving you access to each of the four realms you must enter to claim the soul of a daemon
\n\nwhy does nurgle hate tzeentch
Plague them as long as possible. They are expensive, but plague cultists are the go-to for targeting armies/provinces before you make the attack. The more you can get them damaged before a fight, the better your chances. On the battlefield, nurgle normally fights better in a blob. Don't do this.

Skarbrand the Exiled One. Tzeentch, the Lord of Change, had noted the aptitude of Khorne's favoured slaughterer and through his guile and manipulative whispers, fuelled Skarbrand's flames of hubris into a raging inferno against his lord.Through Tzeentch's machinations, he continued to change the skein of the Bloodthirster's fate, goading and taunting the Daemon lord into committing ever
Khorne revels in direct action and the passive approach of Nurgle is totally at odds with the Blood God's very essence. Nurgle is a god who believes that his goals will be achieved through careful planning and stewardship of his blessings, whereas Khorne only cares for immediate destruction. For his part, Tzeentch delights in baiting Khorne.

Tzeentch is the only one that has an edge against Nurgle, but Nurgle has good air units, so it depends how much Air Tzeentch brings. Not counting Ogres, Ironblasters and Gorgers are way overtuned atm.
